Analise Minjarez(1990)is an interdisciplinary artist and arts educator from El Paso, TX. Her work hinges on the transformation of material and the healing realization that the human-nature relationship is not singular. Minjarez responds to material through site specific installations, sculpture, drawing, experimental photography, and video. With sensitivity to light, material, and site, she pays attention to nature in relation to how she sees herself connected to place.
Minjarez received her M.F. A.(2022) from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX and a B.F.A. (2013) in Fibers from the University of North Texas in Denton. Minjarez has taught classes at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, the Latino Cultural Center, and SAY Sí. Most recently, Minjarez has exhibited work at the Infinitie School in Los Angeles, CA and at Sweet Pass Sculpture Park in Dallas, TX. Most recently, Minjarez was awarded the 2024 Nasher Artist Grant at the Nasher Sculpture Center.
